Continuing education during renovation works
The Municipality of Hilversum is renovating the monumental building of the Hilversumse Schoolvereniging (HSV). To ensure pupils did not have to relocate to another site, a temporary school building was erected next to the school using Idelco's modular units, realised in collaboration with our Dutch partner Envicon. This allowed education to proceed without interruption.
12 classrooms for approximately 250 pupils
The building comprises 12 spacious classrooms, offices for the headteacher and teachers, support rooms, and comprehensive sanitary facilities. The units were linked and stacked to form a compact, two-storey school building. It was delivered completely ready for use, allowing pupils and teachers to occupy it immediately.
Comfortable indoor climate with air conditioning and heating
Each classroom is equipped with air conditioning and heating, ensuring a pleasant indoor climate all year round. The well-insulated panels and large windows provide ample natural light and contribute to low energy consumption, in both summer and winter.
Rapid installation, minimal disruption
As the units are largely prefabricated at our factory in Zwevezele, the construction time on the school site was significantly reduced. Foundation work, installation, utility connections, and handover followed swiftly, with minimal disturbance to the neighbourhood and the existing school.
Sustainable and reusable
The temporary school building is fully demountable. After the renovation, the units can be easily relocated and redeployed, extending the lifespan of the components and conserving new raw materials. Temporary accommodation does not have to feel temporary. Do you also require additional classrooms in Belgium or the Netherlands? Request a non-binding quotation today.
