Additional office space without losing production floor area
An industrial company in Kempen urgently needed additional office space but did not want to surrender any production floor area. The solution: three modular office units from Idelco, installed within the existing warehouse and elevated on a steel structure. This creates a fully fledged upper level with offices at height, while the space beneath the units remains completely available for storage, machinery, or passage for forklifts.
Three linked units with panoramic windows
The three office units were fully finished at our factory in Zwevezele and custom-linked to form one continuous office space. Large panoramic windows on both sides ensure abundant daylight and provide office staff with a direct view of the production activities in the warehouse. Internally, the units are equipped with insulated wall panels, fluorescent lighting, electricity, and data — ready for immediate use as an office.
Elevated on a steel structure with safe access
The completely white steel substructure was designed and assembled by Idelco, tailored to the warehouse. Diagonal braces and robust columns support the entire weight of the three office units and guarantee a stable construction, even in an industrial environment with forklift traffic below. A yellow steel external staircase provides safe and compliant access to the office level.
Fast, flexible, and modularly expandable
From engineering to installation, the project was completed within a few weeks. Thanks to its modular nature, the company can easily expand the office space in the future with additional units, or relocate the construction in case of a move or redesign.
